Corner deduction, sorted.
Enter the depth of the blind and the interior angle where two blinds meet. We'll calculate how much to deduct from each blind so they sit as close to the glass as possible without fouling at the corner.
Inputs
Deduction
Enter a valid depth and a corner angle between 0° and 90°.
Bay run measurements
Choose how many windows are in the opening, then enter the measured width of each one. The end blinds lose one corner each; every blind in between loses two.
Enter a valid blind depth and corner angle above to calculate section sizes.
How it works
The front-to-back projection of the blind — headrail, brackets, and stack included.
The corner angle where the blinds meet. 0° is totally flat, 90° is the maximum corner. 45° is a typical splayed bay.
Take the per-blind deduction off each blind that meets at the corner. They'll sit tight without clashing.
How to measure
Top-down view of two blinds meeting at a bay/bow corner. D is the blind depth (front-to-back). A is the corner angle between the two blinds.
- D — Depth: measure from the front of the headrail to the glass/wall.
- A — Angle: measure the angle between the two blind faces at the corner.
- Deduct: subtract the per-blind value from each blind meeting at that corner.
